The Association of Russian Lawyers for Human Rights prepared a special video address to the Georgian authorities and the civil society of Georgia, in which expresses solidarity and support to the journalists of the <<PIC>> channel, closed in the first days of taking office of the new Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili, which is a clear illustration of the new government’s new policy to remove democracy institutes, tend to repressions, suppression of criticism of both Georgian and Russian authorities.
Lawyer and human rights defender Evgeny Arkhipov said that despite any pre-election political arrangements, beginning of the political developments in Georgia with the closure of the only independent Russian-language channel, unbiasedly covering the events in Russia, protests, opposition, in fact with the closure of the democracy institutes, violation of the right to freedom of speech and interference in the professional activities of journalists, is dangerous for any politician, as such actions only show immaturity of a politician, his inability to promote democracy and ultimately discredit a politician.
The Association of Russian Lawyers for Human Rights also addresses citizens of Georgia and hopes for maturity of the civil society, which will not allow the closure of the independent media and will respond to the first alarming collapse of the democracy in Georgia.

As informed to the Press Service of the Association of Russian Lawyers for Human Rights by the lawyer Evgeny Arkhipov the initiative group of Domodedovo urban district  standing for creation of the Rus Democratic Republic made a decision to conduct referendum. In the opinion of Marina Zlotnikova refereum is the supreme form of people's will expression and in case of positive result - the acknowledgement of the Rus Democratic Republic de facto and de jure. As declared by the initiative group from this moment one can start creation of republican control bodies and adoption of republican legislation, including approval of Constitution, conduct of  elections etc. According to Evgeny Arkhipov  the initiative group has no trust to the Russian Central Election Commission due to massive falsifications at the elections of different levels and pressure on electorate, for that reason instead of Russian CEC the referendum  will be arranged by the civil activists by means of questioning the residents of Domodedovo urban district with participation of a large number of Russian and international observers.
The initiative group for creation of the Rus Democratic Republic prepared a video message to Russian people about the necessity of financial support to arrange the referendum on declaration of the Rus Democratic Republic: the funds can be transferred to an account with Yandex.Money 410011570145671.

Lawyer Evgeny Arkhipov and activist from Moscow, airport Domodedovo, Moscow region

As Evgeny Arkhipov, a lawyer and a human right activist, said, the Russian authorities explicitly violate Article 6 of the European Convention that guarantees the right to a professional defense for every arrested person: the lawyer was denied from access to a Chinese Opposition Conference participant that was arrested by border control officers on September 13, 2012 in Domodedovo airport. Presently Alla Lavrinenko is still in the airport. Border control officers did not allow her to speak with the lawyer upon the pretext that the conference participant was arrested neither in an administrative proceeding, nor in a criminal one. According to the latest information, Alla Lavrinenko will be deported to the Ukraine this evening at 11.30 p.m. (according to Moscow time).
Lawyer Evgeny Arkhipov described the violation of Article 6 of the European Convention by the Russian authorities as the “arbitrary will and violation of all the international regulations and standards that guarantee the right to professional defense to any arrested person”.
Association of Russian Lawyers for Human Rights will monitor the situation.
