As Association of Russian Lawyers for Human Rights reported, starting from 15 January 2015 Russian authorities supported the foundation of the pro-governmental movement "Antimaidan", which will fight with the dissidents, support the extrajudicial reprisal against Russian opposition, courts started to sentence to the maximum periods of arrest - 30 days, the criminal prosecution for the expression of the civil position.
According to the experts of the Association, 15 January 2015, Russian mass-media announced the foundation of the organization "Antimaidan", which was initiated by Alexander Zaldostanov (Russian biker, the leader of the movement “Night wolves”, the owner of the night club in Moscow), a member of the Federation Council Dmitry Sablin (the relative of the ex-governor of Moscow region, Russian oligarch), Nazi writer Nikolai Starikov. The movement, as the founders said, will fight with the so-called "color revolutions". According to the initiators of the movement, in fact, aimed to combat the dissents, the aggressive organized groups of supporters of the authorities will be participate at all the actions that they will be regarded as anti-state and make “certain actions” (http://ria.ru/society/20150115/1042688858.html). The movement "Antimaydan" went on Manezhnaya Square 15 January 2015, where was planned the People's Assembly and a series of the pickets with various subjects. Young people were dressed in winter hats with distinctive black and orange pattern. The groups of young people approached close to the opposition and chanted "Do not like Russia - bring down the United States", after which the police began to arrest the opposition.
In the course of a single picketing 15 January 2015, was detained the opposition activist Mark Halperin. 16 January 2015 Tverskoy district court of Moscow sentenced Mark Halperin for the maximum period of 30 days of administrative punishment on the part 8 of Article 20.2 ("repeated" violation of the rally) for participation in the action "01.15.15" at the Manegnaya Square and 8 days - by part 2 of Article 20.2 (holding a public event without agreement) for the picket with a poster «Je suis Charlie» on 10 January 2015 - first time in Russia the punishment handed down a total duration of 38 days for an administrative offense.

Association of Russian Lawyers for Human Rights considers that the practice of extrajudicial reprisal of opposition is unacceptable, the using of prolonged arrests for pickets, high fines, prosecution for the expression of civil position - unacceptable. The experts related to extrajudicial reprisal falls under the rules of international law and a crime against humanity if the government does not repress extrajudicial reprisal, the government officials fully share responsibility for each case of extrajudicial reprisal.
Association of Russian Lawyers for Human Rights recalls that anybody may be disagree with the opinions of others, may take the opposite point of view, but it does not give anyone the right to use violence, threats of violence against his political opponents, and therefore the Association calls on all political forces in Russia for peace and dialogue, and to act within the legal framework in compliance with the principles of a democratic society and the rule of law.
