01 OF OCTOBER 2012 THE RESIDENTS OF DOMODEDOVO APPLY TO EUROPEAN UNION FOR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RUS REPUBLIC

The symbol of Rus Democratic Republic

As informed to the press service of the Association of Russian Lawyers for Human Rights by the initiative group, the residents of Domodedovo made a decision to  create  Rus Democratic Republic within the boundaries of urban district without violating the integrity of the Russian Federation, and apply to the European Union for acknowledgement of their right of self-determination.
The application states that Russian authorities committed gross violation of principles of democratic society, ignoring the results of referendum in 2007 when almost 100% of Domodedovo residents voted against construction of toll road within the district, however in 2009 the authorities commenced construction and Matveevka settlement is under the threat of demolition. As informed by the members of the initiative group the residents believe that Rus Democratic Republic shall be integrated into the European Union and acknowledged a separate state being at the same time a part of the Russian Federation with a special status.
According to Evgeny Arkhipov  the initiative to create Rus Democratic Republic is based on the fact that Domodedovo residents in a few moments turned into the guests on their own land, where criminals, tycoons and corrupted authorities set new criminal order, levying tribute on the residents for using road, water, taking money for picking berries, mushrooms in the forest, raiding any property in Domodedovo.  
According to marina Zlotnikova she witnessed the representatives of Azerbaijan criminal society tried to exert pressure on local residents,  threatened prosecution for opposition to expansion of the toll road and alternate highway in Kashirskoe direction. As informed by Marina Zlotnikova during conversation with local residents the representatives of the organized criminal group tried to perform provocative act with regard to the lawyer  Evgeny Arkhipov and draw him into the conflict repeating many times that any applications to police and courts are useless.  Marina Zlotnikova found out that among key developers in Domodedovo there are relatives of the current president of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliev. In the opinion of Marina Zlotnikova the local residents shall create Rus Democratic Republic to protect their interests and rights.
As informed by the resident of Matveevka Aleksey Arsentyev, he is extremely indignant  with provocative acts in which the local residents are drawn into and with the use of unsolved national issue against citizens protecting their rights and freedoms.  In Arsentyev's opinion all of these so called representatives of Azerbaijan diaspora and Azerbaijan organized criminal group are controlled by Russian secret services and serve to the group of tycoons seizing power in Russia.
According to the residents of Shebantsevo village they have been under the pressure of corrupted authorities as for the lands to be used for expansion of alternate road of M4 DON toll road for a long time: there is no water supply in the village as far as local officials sold the village water tower to a private owner, local residents were obliged to dig wells.
According to the residents of Danilovo village they are deprived of the opportunity to go to the forest, pick mushrooms, cross the fields and swim in the lake as everything is owned by the tycoons.
As informed by the civil activist Valery Tsaturov the residents of Domodedovo unanimously demand the transfer of the toll road outside the district and observance of their right of ownership as well as acknowledgement of their right to self-determination due to ignoring by Russian authorities of their will expression. 
Among the demands of Domodedovo residents there are transfer of toll road outside the district,  termination of raiding the lands in the district,  return of forests, rivers and lakes into the ownership of people as well as observance of rights of the local residents as for the management of their territory.
