Lawyer Evgeny Arkhipov told to the press-service of the Association of Russian Lawyers for Human Rights that at the moment he's going to the Domodedovo airport to meet with detained on the border with Russia Chinese opposition members.
As told representatives of the Chinese opposition, September 13, 2012 at the Domodedovo airport was detained Alla Lavrinenko, who planed to take part in the annual conference of Chinese opposition members and supporters of various Chinese spiritual movements in Moscow on September 15.
According to Juliana Kim, Lavrinenko was detained for identification when passing the passport control upon arrival from Ukraine. According to Lavrinenko, at the moment she is at the territory of the Domodedovo airport in police custody and is being prepared for deportation because she supposedly is in a “black” list of people banned from entering Russia, despite the fact that in July 2012 she visited Russia and was never brought to justice. According to Lavrinenko, border guards refused to connect her with the Embassy of Ukraine in Russia, and that at the moment she is kept in prison in a special room.
Another participant of the conference Eugene Brugg was also subjected to illegal detention. According to the Chinese opposition members, the man was dispatched to Kiev, after passing the control on the Russian border at about 2 am on September 14. According to Eugene Brugg, he also supposedly is in a “black” list of people whose entry to Russia is undesirable.
As reported by journalist Juliana Kim, opponents of the Chinese regime are brutally persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party since 1999. According to Kim, China is putting pressure on the Russian authorities and distributes prosecution on the territory of Russia.
According to Chinese opposition members, arrived in Russia conference participants can stay at the Domodedovo airport until September 16, i.e. until the end of the conference.
